Job Overview:
A leading personal injury law firm is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Trial Attorney Manager to oversee a team of litigators. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of trial experience (with personal injury trial experience preferred) and a strong background in managing litigation teams. The Trial Attorney Manager will guide and support trial attorneys on matters such as pleadings, discovery, depositions, and case preparation for trial. 

Location:

  • San Antonio, TX

Duties:

  • Manage a team of litigators and trial attorneys, providing guidance and support on litigation issues.
  • Oversee the preparation and development of cases for trial, including pleadings, discovery, and depositions.
  • Maximize the value of each case through efficient case development and preparation.
  • Ensure trial teams are well-prepared, organized, and ready for court.
  • Utilize technology to manage cases and team performance effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor team progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior attorneys and staff.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by driving results and maintaining a client-focused approach.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of trial experience, with a preference for personal injury trial experience.
  • Proven experience managing plaintiff or defense litigation.
  • Strong management experience with a thorough understanding of leadership principles.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of case preparation, including pleadings, discovery, and depositions.
  • Familiarity with technology and case management software.
  • Ability to motivate and guide a team of attorneys to success.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active state bar license in Texas (required).

Skills:

  • Trial and litigation experience, particularly in personal injury law.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Legal research, writing, and case preparation.
  • Negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Proficient with case management software and technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and complex cases.
