Employment Counsel

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an Employment Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to management and Human Resources across its U.S. and global offices. This role involves proactive legal advice on various employment matters and requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Provide legal advice on discrimination, harassment, employee discipline, and terminations
• Conduct internal investigations
• Collaborate with management and HR on employee relations issues
• Review and draft employee policies and procedures
• Implement and improve employment law training
• Consult on international employment matters
• Prepare release agreements for terminations
• Assist with employment law litigation
• Manage outside counsel as needed

Requirements:

• J.D. degree
• Admission to practice in New York, California, or Washington, D.C.
• 7+ years of employment practice experience

Education:

• Doctorate (J.D.)

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in relevant jurisdictions

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Excellent judgment and risk assessment
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and training capabilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
