Job Duties:

  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, contracts, pleadings, and agreements under the supervision of senior attorneys.
  • Perform discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies in preparation for litigation.
  • Analyze and summarize legal documents, contracts, and agreements, recommending necessary alterations.
  • Advise clients on business transactions, legal rights, and obligations and provide counsel on litigation strategy.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and before government agencies.
  • Evaluate case outcomes and develop strategies based on legal precedents and potential liabilities.
  • Gather evidence through client interviews, witness statements, and legal research to formulate a defense or initiate legal actions.
  • Consult with colleagues specializing in relevant areas to prepare and verify bases for legal proceedings.
  • Supervise Legal Secretaries and Paralegals as required.
  • Perform administrative and managerial functions related to legal practice.
  • Complete special projects and tasks as assigned by senior attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current license to practice law in the state of California.
  • 2-7 years of relevant experience in a law firm setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client consultation and legal argumentation.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities for effective representation in legal proceedings.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
