A law firm in Lebanon, NH, is seeking a highly experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney to lead and expand their practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in all facets of trusts and estates law, catering to a diverse client base including high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive estate planning advice to clients, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Counsel clients on sophisticated wealth preservation, tax planning strategies, and charitable giving options.
  • Handle complex estate and trust administration matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Represent clients in probate proceedings and other estate and trust litigation matters as necessary.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Stay current with changes in trusts and estates laws and regulations, and educate clients and colleagues accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Hampshire Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 15+ years of substantial experience practicing trusts and estates law, ideally with a focus on high-net-worth clients.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Leadership qualities to mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm growth initiatives.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Trusts and Estates Law by the New Hampshire Bar Association or relevant professional organizations is preferred.
