Job Title: Workers Compensation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Brunswick, GA, seeks a dedicated and experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong workers' compensation law background and a commitment to providing excellent client service. This position requires managing a high caseload, maintaining constant client communication, and ensuring the smooth handling of each case from intake to resolution.

Duties:

  • Open new files, make initial client contact and maintain regular client communication.
  • Fully investigate each case, gather and analyze intake information and relevant documents.
  • Enter pertinent information into the database.
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues and maintain contact with insurance companies.
  • Manage client’s medical care by constantly communicating with clients and medical providers.
  • Schedule and calendar medical appointments and explain procedures and documentation to clients.
  • Continuously monitor case status and review medical records.
  • Organize and maintain case files, preparing them for submission to demand writers.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Worker's Compensation law.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with clients, field associates, and vendors.
  • Capacity to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to work on the phone for extended periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity.
  • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology (a plus).
  • Spanish speaking (a plus).

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • JD from an accredited university.

Certifications:

  • FL Bar Admission.

Skills:

  • Strong investigative and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in database management.
  • Effective communication and client management.
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed case files.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and calendaring.
