Job Overview: A law firm specializing in energy and environmental law is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of litigation experience, focusing on energy and environmental regulatory matters, complemented by solid advocacy skills and academic achievements.

Duties:

  • Research and analyze complex legal issues related to energy and environmental regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on regulatory compliance matters.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, hearings, and court trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client representation.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessment related to environmental and energy projects.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
  • 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably focusing on energy and environmental law.
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills, demonstrated through past work or academic achievements.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
