A reputable law firm based in Tampa, FL is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its Workers’ Compensation Defense practice. This is a remote-eligible opportunity for licensed Florida attorneys who are eager to take ownership of cases, collaborate with experienced legal professionals, and build long-term litigation expertise in a supportive, team-focused environment. Duties:

  • Manage an independent docket of Workers' Compensation defense cases

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case planning

  • Interpret and assess medical records to support litigation goals

  • Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, legal memoranda, and motions

  • Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders

  • Attend remote depositions, hearings, and mediations as needed

  • Maintain case files and deadlines using case management technology

  • Contribute to a professional and responsive virtual legal team

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law, preferably in litigation

  • Licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar

  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Prior exposure to reviewing medical documentation

  • Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote work setting

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Florida Bar License (required)
