Labor & Employment Associate

A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level Associate to join its Labor & Employment Department in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in employment law, specifically in representing employers in both litigation and advisory capacities.

Duties:

• Represent employers in employment law matters, including litigation and providing legal counsel.
• Handle cases involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful discharge.
• Guide wage and hour laws and class action litigation.
• Draft and review legal documents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective strategies for client representation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the practice's overall effectiveness and support its growth.

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years of experience in labor and employment law, with at least two years focused on California law.
• Strong background in handling complex legal issues related to discrimination, retaliation, and employment litigation.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
