Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits Associate to join its dynamic team. Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Advise clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters
  • Focus on mergers & acquisitions, tax, and securities law issues related to executive compensation
  • Provide support in structuring complex compensation arrangements
  • Work closely with clients on designing and implementing compensation programs
  • Assist in legal due diligence and negotiation of compensation arrangements for M&A transactions
  • Draft and review legal documents related to executive compensation and benefits
  • Maintain client relationships and provide ongoing legal counsel on employee benefits matters

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in executive compensation, mergers & acquisitions, and related tax and securities law issues
  • Significant deal experience, particularly in M&A transactions
  • Superior academic credentials
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be admitted to the bar in CA, NY, or WA

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in California, New York, or Washington (WA)

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of executive compensation matters
  • Experience in M&A transactions and related legal issues
  • Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects and provide strategic advice
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
