A law firm seeks a Senior Immigration Attorney with 6-7 years of experience to join its dynamic immigration practice in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of employment-based immigration law, including but not limited to H-1Bs, L-1s, PERMs, I-140s, AOS, and O-1s, and be comfortable handling a variety of immigration matters. This position involves direct client interaction, providing expert advice, preparing petitions, and ensuring compliance with all immigration-related requirements. Duties

  • Advise clients on various employment-based immigration matters, including H-1Bs, L-1s, O-1s, PERMs, I-140s, and AOS applications.
  • Prepare and file petitions and applications for submission to government agencies.
  • Handle a wide range of immigration cases, demonstrating flexibility and expertise in a variety of legal matters.
  • Provide high-quality legal counsel and guidance on complex immigration issues.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear and effective communication.
  • Ensure all documents and filings meet regulatory requirements and deadlines.
  • Perform legal research, draft correspondence, and create memoranda on immigration law.
  • Work efficiently and effectively under pressure while managing multiple cases at once.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6-7 years of experience in immigration law, specifically employment-based immigration.
  • Proficiency with H-1Bs, L-1s, PERMs, I-140s, AOS, O-1s, and other related immigration processes.
  • Experience advising clients directly and assisting with the preparation of petitions and applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle complex immigration cases.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload and multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
