Job Overview:

This role offers a chance to be part of a leading practice in Title IX and civil rights law, focusing on addressing institutional misconduct, regulatory compliance, and policy development. The position is open to experienced professionals as associates, counsel, or member-level attorneys, depending on qualifications.

Duties:

  • Conduct investigations involving Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, and civil rights or criminal laws addressing:
    • Sexual and gender-based harassment and violence
    • Protected class discrimination and harassment
    • Child or elder abuse
  • Assist institutions and governmental entities in implementing trauma-informed, fair, and impartial prevention and resolution processes.
  • Develop and refine written policies, procedures, and educational materials for institutional use.
  • Provide compliance guidance related to Title IX, the Clery Act, and child protection frameworks.
  • Collaborate with various organizations, including educational institutions, corporations, hospitals, and non-profits, to address systemic issues and governance challenges.

Requirements:

  • Active attorney license in the state of New Jersey.
  • Extensive experience with Title IX, the Clery Act, and related regulatory compliance matters.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership experience and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
