A law firm in Berwyn, PA, is seeking an Insurance and Reinsurance Associate Attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. The role requires extensive civil litigation experience, including drafting legal documents, managing discovery, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court. Candidates with experience in business development, client management, and independent case management are preferred. The position demands excellent academic credentials and a proven track record of superior research and writing skills.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on complex insurance coverage matters involving professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Handle insurance and reinsurance litigation cases from inception through resolution, including drafting and filing pleadings and dispositive motions.
  • Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document production, and addressing discovery disputes.
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients during court appearances, including hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Manage client relationships, providing strategic legal advice and ensuring effective case management.
  • Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and enhance the firm's market presence.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Keep abreast of developments in insurance and reinsurance law and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 6 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.
  • Proven experience in drafting legal documents, managing discovery, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court.
  • Preferred experience in business development, client management, and independent case management.
  • Excellent academic credentials with demonstrated superior research and writing abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar or eligibility to practice in Pennsylvania.
