Job Overview: A prominent law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its legal team. The successful candidate will manage workers' compensation cases from initial intake through resolution, handling all aspects of the process including client communications, investigation, medical coordination, and legal documentation. This full-time position requires a motivated individual with a background in workers' compensation law who is dedicated to providing exceptional client service in a professional setting.

Location:

Duties:

  • Open new case files, conduct initial client interviews, and maintain regular client contact.
  • Investigate each case thoroughly by gathering and analyzing intake information, documents, and related data.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assess liability issues while maintaining regular communication with insurance companies.
  • Manage clients’ medical care by scheduling appointments, reviewing medical records, and coordinating with medical providers.
  • Continuously monitor case progress and update clients on case status.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring they are prepared for demand writers.
  • Handle client inquiries and explain procedures and documentation in a clear manner.
  • Maintain and enter case details in the firm's database.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in maintaining confidential information.
  • Comfortable working on the phone for extended periods of time.
  • Consistent track record of reliability, integrity, and strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is a plus.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in legal research and case management.
  • Familiarity with medical records and insurance processes is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple case files.
