Job Location: Houston, TX

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Leasing Attorney to join its dynamic Real Estate Group. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in handling commercial leases and will be instrumental in delivering high-quality legal services to clients.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases and related agreements, including term sheets, letters of intent, work letters, and SNDAs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, brokers, and other relevant parties, both verbally and in writing.
  • Produce timely deliverables and respond promptly to correspondence and phone calls.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality in all work products while meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Adhere to all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work and participation in virtual meetings.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Admitted to practice in Texas.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the commercial leasing market and lease-related issues.
  • Experience with various property types, including office, retail, industrial, and life sciences.
  • Proven track record representing landlords in leasing matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to grasp clients’ business objectives and deliver efficient solutions.
  • Strong negotiating, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
