Associate Attorney needed for Hackensack office

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its litigation division in Hackensack, NJ:

Job Overview:

• Assist in all phases of civil litigation, emphasizing motion writing and legal research.
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for litigation proceedings.

Duties:

• Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings as necessary.
• Maintain communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and developments.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality work product.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
