Junior Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Columbia, SC, is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of litigation experience to join its commercial litigation practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials and demonstrate the ability to manage a diverse range of responsibilities within a litigation practice. A South Carolina law license is required.

Duties:

• Assist in the preparation and management of commercial litigation cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
• Participate in depositions, court hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal counsel.
• Manage case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
• Support the team with various litigation-related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in litigation, preferably in commercial litigation.
• Strong academic background with a solid understanding of litigation practices.
• Active South Carolina law license is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in South Carolina.
