Unlawful Detainer Associate Attorney

A law firm in Orange, CA, is seeking a motivated Unlawful Detainer Associate Attorney to join their team. The role involves providing legal counsel and representation to clients involved in landlord-tenant disputes, specializing in unlawful detainer actions.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on unlawful detainer issues.
• Draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, notices, and contracts related to unlawful detainer proceedings.
• Review and analyze legal documents, agreements, and leases.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings related to unlawful detainer actions.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and approaches.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
• Prepare and present persuasive legal arguments in court.
• Attend client meetings, provide legal advice, and address client concerns.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar association (California Bar preferred).
• Proven experience (1-3 years) in handling unlawful detainer cases or related landlord-tenant disputes.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with proficiency in legal research tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and correspondence.
• Experience in litigation, including courtroom advocacy and trial preparation.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with California landlord-tenant laws and regulations.
• Prior experience in negotiating settlements and agreements.
• Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar (required).
