Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Litigate complex class action cases in federal and state courts, specializing in retirement, trust, finance-industry-related, and other economic and social justice claims.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; argue motions in court as necessary.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and strategic advice.
  • Take and defend depositions effectively.
  • Collaborate with finance, economics, and other experts to support case development and trial preparation.
  • Identify and investigate potential new cases, conducting pre-suit investigations as needed.
  • Cultivate relationships with other attorneys in the Plaintiffs’ bar for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Supervise and work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, interns, and clerks.
  • Travel as required for litigation and conferences.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience as a litigator focusing on complex class action cases.
  • Admission to the Minnesota Bar or eligibility for admission within six months of hire.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and courtroom skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
