Aviation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Aviation Associate Attorney to support its aviation practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for aviation law, with experience in aircraft transactions, FAA defense, and related litigation.

Duties:

• Assist with aircraft purchase and sale transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Provide legal guidance on aviation-related tax matters.
• Defend airmen in actions brought by the FAA.
• Engage in aviation-related litigation, including commercial and tort cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft necessary documents for various aviation matters.
• Collaborate with clients to address their aviation-related legal needs.

Requirements:

• Law license is required.
• Private Pilot Certification is required.
• Must have at least 200 hours of logged pilot-in-command time; instrument and higher ratings preferred.
• Tennessee Bar admission or reciprocity preferred; current bar exam candidates will be considered.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Experience:

• 0-3 years of legal experience, preferably with a focus on aviation law.
