Job Overview
A prestigious law firm based in Orange Park, FL, is seeking an experienced associate attorney specializing in insurance defense litigation. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven professional with 5-7 years of experience, capable of managing cases from inception to resolution. Expertise in research, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and legal reporting is required. Courtroom experience is an added advantage. A Florida Bar license is required, and a Georgia Bar license is a bonus.

Duties

• Handle insurance defense litigation cases from start to finish
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed reports
• Manage all phases of discovery, including depositions
• Draft and file motions, as well as represent clients in court when necessary
• Maintain client communication and provide regular updates on case progress
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop effective case strategies
• Adhere to firm protocols, deadlines, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure case documentation is meticulously organized and up to date

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
• Proficiency in legal research, discovery processes, and motion practice
• Strong litigation skills, including handling depositions and client interactions
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
