A law firm in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will bring 2-3 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a focus on managed care or health care. This role requires exceptional case management and client counseling skills, the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously, and a strong command of regulatory and compliance issues. The attorney will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinate with associates and staff, and manage all aspects of litigation and counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and litigate cases involving managed care and health care issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing legal counsel and updates on case progress.
  • Coordinate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management and regulatory compliance.
  • Handle complex commercial litigation and arbitration, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial.
  • Provide strategic guidance on regulatory and compliance matters related to managed care.
  • Represent clients in court, depositions, and arbitration hearings.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on issues pertaining to managed care and health care laws.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and counsel.
  • Stay abreast of changes in managed care and health care regulations and case law.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • 2-3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Experience in managed care or health care is required.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple cases and manage regulatory or compliance matters.
  • Significant experience in case management and client counseling preferred.

  • Excellent academic credentials with strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in managing complex litigation and arbitration processes.
  • In-depth understanding of managed care and health care regulations.
