Duties:

• Represent tenants dealing with uninhabitable living conditions such as mold, pest infestations, and code violations.
• Handle habitability cases from intake to resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and appearing in court.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and build strong cases.
• Hold negligent landlords accountable by litigating cases in a fair and effective manner.
• Work with a team committed to justice and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in California.
• Experience in habitability, housing law, or tenant advocacy is a plus (willing to mentor passionate attorneys).
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
