A law firm seeks a skilled and dedicated Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Richmond and Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a broad range of personal injury cases, from pre-litigation claims to courtroom litigation in state and federal courts. This role requires a strong commitment to client advocacy, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Duties

  • Assess potential new cases and conduct client intake consultations.

  • Engage with current and prospective clients to provide legal guidance.

  • Oversee the pre-litigation process, ensuring cases are thoroughly prepared.

  • Negotiate settlements and manage the disbursement of recoveries.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including Circuit, General District, and Federal Courts.

  • Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences.

  • Advocate for clients in hearings and trials across the Commonwealth.

  • Provide mentorship and support to fellow attorneys and legal staff.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in personal injury law, including trial experience.

  • Strong case management and litigation skills.

  • Ability to handle a diverse caseload effectively.

  • Excellent client communication and negotiation skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
