Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience in legal practice to join its team. The candidate will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including legal research, drafting memos, preparing pleadings, and occasional court appearances. Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft comprehensive memos and legal documents.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal correspondence.
  • Represent clients in court on occasion, handling hearings and other procedural tasks.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and manage complex legal matters.
  • Assist with various aspects of business, construction, and real estate litigation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth case management and workflow.
  • Provide legal support to clients, offering advice and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience practicing law, with a focus on litigation preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • A high level of professionalism, with a focus on client service and case outcomes.
  • Licensed to practice in Arizona (additional state licenses are a plus).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona (required).
  • Additional state bar memberships (preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting of legal documents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and handle a variety of cases simultaneously.
  • Experience in business, construction, real estate, or subrogation law is a plus.
