Job Overview:
A highly regarded personal injury law firm is looking for a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in plaintiff personal injury law, including trial experience, client interactions, and case preparation. The attorney will be responsible for advising clients, managing discovery, conducting depositions, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court.

Location:

  • New Hyde Park, NY

Duties:

  • Advise clients on claim liability, legal rights, and case status.
  • Respond to discovery demands and manage discovery processes.
  • Conduct depositions and gather evidence to support legal actions.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to ensure clients understand their legal options.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court, argue motions, and handle appeals.
  • Develop legal strategies and arguments for case preparation and presentation.
  • Seek opportunities to add value to case outcomes and improve organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of documented plaintiff personal injury trial experience.
  • Strong ability to build client relationships while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
  • Energetic, motivated, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the creativity to develop effective legal strategies.
  • Medical background is a plus.
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York State (Required).

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in plaintiff-side personal injury law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents, including motions and depositions.
  • Strong court presentation skills with litigation experience.
  • Ability to develop and implement creative legal strategies.
