Job Overview: A law firm in Santa Fe, NM, is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in trademark law. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and analyses.
  • Develop and implement global trademark strategies for clients.
  • Handle domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement matters.
  • Represent clients in TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings.
  • Address online and social media enforcement issues related to trademarks.
  • Manage UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate trademark agreements and documents.
  • Provide legal advice and support on trademark-related issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trademark laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports on trademark matters.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in trademark law.
  • Demonstrated experience with trademark searching, global trademark strategy, and prosecution.
  • Experience with TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings is a plus.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Foreign language skills are highly valued.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Mexico or eligible for admission.
