Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile intellectual property litigation cases, including patent prosecution, litigation, and related proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing cases and leading junior associates and paralegals, with a focus on technology-driven industries.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage intellectual property litigation cases from start to finish, ensuring high standards of legal practice are maintained.
  • Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents for patent-related litigation.
  • Take and defend depositions, including working closely with expert witnesses.
  • Represent clients in PTAB and trial proceedings, demonstrating expertise in patent litigation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, paralegals, and other support staff.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to strategize and execute litigation plans.
  • Handle case management tasks, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IP litigation, particularly in patent cases.
  • Demonstrated experience in briefing, motion practice, depositions, and working with experts.
  • Proven ability to manage cases and supervise junior associates or paralegals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts.
  • Outstanding organizational and analytical abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Georgia or eligible for admission.
  • USPTO admission preferred, especially for candidates with an engineering background.

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to manage complex legal cases and coordinate with teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
