Job Overview:

A law firm in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Healthcare Transactional Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of transactional experience, preferably in healthcare private equity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to building a practice around healthcare transactional work, particularly focused on private equity transactions. Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm environment is preferred.

Key Duties:

  • Advise clients on healthcare transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and investments in healthcare entities.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, financing agreements, and related legal instruments.
  • Conduct due diligence related to healthcare transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic solutions for clients in the healthcare sector.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to healthcare transactions and private equity.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Mentor junior associates and support their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in North Carolina.
  • 4-6 years of transactional experience, with a focus on healthcare private equity preferred.
  • Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm environment is highly desirable.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.

  • Excellent academic credentials and a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and private equity transactions.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts.
