Job Overview:

A prominent law firm, representing a broad range of industries, is seeking a talented Mid-Level Project Finance Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Energy and Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have experience in project finance, structured financing, and development within the energy and infrastructure sectors. However, candidates with experience in leveraged finance or other finance-related disciplines are also encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on complex project finance and development transactions within energy and infrastructure industries.
  • Manage and oversee the execution of limited recourse and structured financings.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients, ensuring that legal strategies align with client goals and business needs.
  • Represent clients, including major corporations, private equity firms, institutional investors, and financial institutions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents associated with project finance deals.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals across different practice groups to handle multifaceted transactions.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and regulatory changes affecting project finance and infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in project finance or related fields such as leveraged finance.
  • Strong understanding of energy and infrastructure financing, including experience with recourse and non-recourse deals.
  • Proven track record of handling high-stakes legal matters and client interactions.
  • Must be admitted to practice law and be in good standing in New York.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Outstanding academic credentials required.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in New York (mandatory).
  • Additional Bar admissions may be considered.

  • Knowledge of energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
