The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in South Carolina and have experience representing clients in both fields. Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in Social Security Disability (SSD) and Workers' Compensation cases, managing all aspects of these claims from initial consultation to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, appeals, briefs, and settlement agreements for SSD and Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Prepare clients for hearings and represent them before administrative law judges, Workers' Compensation commissioners, and other legal bodies.
  • Handle case management, including collecting medical records, coordinating with medical professionals, and gathering evidence to support clients' claims.
  • Work closely with clients, keeping them informed throughout the legal process and providing strategic advice on claim preparation, hearing representation, and settlement negotiations.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies, employers, and other parties in Workers' Compensation cases to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records, ensuring compliance with legal deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff within the firm to provide comprehensive legal representation for clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in Social Security Disability and Workers' Compensation law to provide current legal advice and strategies for client cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience handling Social Security Disability and Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present legal arguments and advocate for clients in hearings and negotiations.
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and case management.
  • Client management skills, with the ability to develop strong client relationships and provide clear, compassionate legal advice.

Education:
