A law firm seeks a dedicated Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Attorney to join their team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Duties

  • Case Management:
    • Handle multiple cases simultaneously and maintain organized client files.
    • Provide regular updates to clients regarding case status and strategies.
  • Litigation Responsibilities:
    • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
    • Represent clients during court proceedings, trials, mock trials, mediations, appraisals, and depositions.
    • Develop effective litigation strategies and prepare risk assessments.
  • Client Advocacy:
    • Conduct client meetings and conference calls to discuss case progress and strategies.
    • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
    • Analyze legal conflicts and advise clients on potential resolutions.
  • Collaboration and Oversight:
    • Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
    • Communicate with expert witnesses and opposing counsel as needed.
  • Research and Preparation:
    • Conduct detailed legal research to support cases.
    • Prepare for hearings and other legal proceedings.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Florida.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and tort law.

Experience

  • Proven litigation experience with a track record of success.
  • Exposure to the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Ability to draft and review legal documents and work collaboratively with senior attorneys.

Skills

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Education
