Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a qualified Health Care Regulatory Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Health Care Transactional and Regulatory team in New York. This role focuses on transactional and regulatory matters for diverse health care stakeholders, offering an opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions, compliance issues, and strategic advisory projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Handle health care transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel on regulatory and compliance issues affecting health care entities.
  • Assist with structuring, negotiating, and implementing complex health care transactions.
  • Advise on fraud and abuse laws, state licensure, corporate governance, value-based care, and antitrust matters.
  • Draft and review health care industry contracts and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to health care clients.
  • Stay informed of health care trends and regulatory developments to provide proactive counsel.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of health care transactional experience, including M&A and joint ventures.
  • Strong background in health care regulatory compliance and trends.
  • Familiarity with fraud and abuse laws, state licensure, corporate practice rules, and health care antitrust.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Bar membership in good standing in the practicing jurisdiction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.

Certifications

  • Active Bar membership in the practicing jurisdiction.
