A law firm in Tampa, FL, is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney with strong writing skills, courtroom experience, and exceptional analytical abilities. The ideal candidate will have superior academic credentials from a top-tier law school and a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters in state and federal courts.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
  • Analyze and interpret legal issues and develop case strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Assist senior attorneys in complex litigation cases and trial preparation.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing litigation at a law firm.
  • Strong substantive writing skills demonstrated through legal drafting experience.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proven track record of handling cases from inception through resolution.
  • Superior academic credentials with academic honors preferred.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certification in trial advocacy or related litigation skills is advantageous.
