Duties

• Handle first-party property insurance litigation cases, representing policyholders through the entirety of the litigation process
• Independently manage and oversee a caseload from start to finish, including all aspects of discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial preparation
• Draft legal documents, including responses to motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment
• Take and defend depositions, manage client expectations, and collaborate with other legal team members
• Provide timely updates and ensure clear communication with clients
• Work in a collaborative, results-driven environment, contributing to the team’s success while managing individual case responsibilities

Requirements

• Must be a licensed attorney in the state of Florida
• 2-4 years of litigation experience, preferably in first-party property insurance or personal injury law
• Proven experience in handling depositions and legal motions
• Strong legal writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to draft high-quality motions and briefs
• Ability to independently manage a caseload in a remote work environment
• Proactive, thorough, and client-focused, with a strong commitment to achieving favorable outcomes

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Florida Bar membership
