Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Real Estate Finance team in the Costa Mesa office. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex real estate finance transactions, including construction, bridge, and permanent loans. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in representing lenders, drafting and negotiating mortgage loan documents, and conducting real estate and entity due diligence. Location:

  • Costa Mesa, CA

Duties:

  • Represent lenders in construction, bridge, and permanent loans.
  • Draft and negotiate mortgage loan documents and conduct associated real estate and entity due diligence.
  • Collaborate with other team members and clients, managing and taking ownership of projects.
  • Provide legal counsel on highly structured financial transactions, ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Participate in the development and execution of complex financial transactions.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and other practice areas within the firm on various real estate finance matters.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience representing lenders in construction, bridge, and permanent loans.
  • Strong experience in drafting and negotiating mortgage loan documents and performing real estate and entity due diligence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional academic credentials and outstanding writing skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of legal matters and projects independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Impressive academic credentials required.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in real estate finance law, particularly on the lender side.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in conducting real estate and entity due diligence.
