Job Overview: A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking an experienced Environmental Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in environmental law and handle transactional, regulatory compliance, and permitting matters across various industries.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on environmental transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and corporate compliance.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews related to environmental assessments and liabilities.
  • Advise clients on wetlands and coastal permitting issues and assist with obtaining necessary permits.
  • Handle complex land use projects involving environmental considerations.
  • Address air quality compliance issues and advise on strategies for mitigating environmental impacts.
  • Manage hazardous materials contamination cases and other environmental enforcement matters.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in environmental law, focusing on transactional, regulatory compliance, and permitting matters.
  • Proven track record of handling complex environmental issues and providing strategic legal advice.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Environmental Law from recognized institutions or Bar associations.
