A law firm seeks a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Estate Planning Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join its Cincinnati, Ohio office. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in estate planning, probate, and trust law, coupled with a solid understanding of tax implications related to these areas.

Duties

  • Manage and assist in drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Provide comprehensive guidance on probate and trust administration matters.
  • Conduct client consultations to assess needs and recommend appropriate estate planning strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients on wealth and business succession planning.
  • Prepare and file necessary tax documents, demonstrating a solid understanding of relevant tax laws.
  • Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
  • Foster positive client relationships through effective communication and personalized service.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of substantive experience in estate planning, probate, and trust law.
  • Strong tax background; an LLM in tax law is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in wealth and business succession planning is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload independently while working collaboratively with the legal team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • A strong academic record is required.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Ohio.
  • Additional certifications in tax law or estate planning are a plus.

Skills

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and drafting.
