Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A Seattle-based law firm specializing in civil plaintiff-side litigation is seeking a dedicated Associate Litigation Counsel with 2-5 years of experience to join its growing legal team. This opportunity is fully remote and tailored for attorneys licensed in Washington who are passionate about advocating for individuals in personal injury and insurance-related disputes. The firm takes a client-first, trial-focused approach, and seeks candidates who value meaningful casework, collaboration, and professional growth while maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Duties:

  • Assist with client case evaluation and participate in intake discussions

  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions throughout the litigation

  • Manage and coordinate discovery processes, including depositions

  • Negotiate with opposing counsel and insurance representatives

  • Collaborate directly with a partner on strategy, execution, and trial preparation

  • Attend and participate in trials as needed

  • Lead and supervise assigned legal assistants and paralegals

  • Accurately track case activity and progress using time-tracking tools (note: no billable hour targets)

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Washington State

  • 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation

  • Familiarity with all phases of litigation, from initial filing through trial

  • Interest or background in plaintiff-side personal injury or insurance bad faith litigation

  • High degree of initiative and ability to collaborate within a remote team

  • Professionalism, adaptability, and attention to detail in legal work

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy

  • Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving

  • Excellent organizational and case management skills

  • Technological fluency in remote collaboration tools and legal software

  • Communication and interpersonal strengths to work in a team-focused environment
