Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is currently seeking a Patent Agent to support its Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group, specifically within the Chemical, Pharma, and Biotech teams. Duties:

• Handle patent prosecution matters, including drafting and filing patent applications.
• Assist with patent litigation support tasks.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on various intellectual property-related matters.
• Review and evaluate patent portfolios for clients.
• Conduct patent searches and provide detailed analysis.
• Work closely with inventors and technical teams to understand innovations and draft strong patent claims.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in patent prosecution and litigation.
• Proven experience in intellectual property law, with a focus on patent drafting and prosecution.
• A degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities.

Education:

• A degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is required.
• Advanced degrees and/or relevant work experience are highly preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to draft patent applications and conduct prosecution proceedings effectively.
• Strong technical knowledge in chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to analyze and assess patent portfolios and handle complex legal matters.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
