This attorney will offer specialized legal counsel on a variety of renewable energy projects, focusing on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cells, as well as knowledge of smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. Strong client service, effective interpersonal skills, and clear communication are essential for this role. Candidates must have a JD degree, be an active member in good standing of the Bar, and possess a portable book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage power purchase agreements, facility operation agreements, and other key contracts.
  • Offer strategic legal guidance on regulatory compliance, facilities operations, and industry best practices.
  • Advise clients on smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and energy efficiency measures.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies in the renewable energy sector.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to address legal issues and support successful project outcomes.
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes and challenges related to renewable energy projects.
  • Build and maintain a portable book of business, demonstrating a strong client base within the renewable energy sector.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.
  • Proven track record of a portable book of business.
  • Extensive knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell technologies.
  • Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency practices.
