A law firm is seeking an Immigration Attorney for their office in Doral. The Immigration Attorney will manage a dynamic caseload, providing legal counsel to clients on various immigration matters. They will lead a team of paralegals, ensuring efficient case management, adherence to deadlines, and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a dedication to staying updated on immigration laws, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal representation.

 

Duties:

  • Meet with potential new clients to assess their immigration needs
  • Coordinate case and legal strategy development
  • Manage multiple cases, paralegals, projects, and deadlines effectively
  • Train and supervise staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Prepare and revise court documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda
  • Conduct legal research to support case arguments
  • Stay informed about legislative changes and judicial case law relevant to immigration matters
  • Market the law firm's immigration services to attract new clients
  • Work one Saturday a month, with potential bonuses for new client acquisitions on those days
  • Cross-sell various other legal services offered by the firm
  • Handle court hearings and trials, representing clients in immigration proceedings
  • Become an expert in Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, Waivers, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School (required)
  • Active Bar License in Good Standing from any US State or PR (required)
  • Fluent in Spanish (required)
  • 1+ years of Immigration experience preferred

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA Accredited Law School

 

Certifications:

Active Bar License in Good Standing from any US State or PR

  • Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload efficiently
