Immigration Attorney

A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling removal defense cases, providing legal guidance, conducting legal research, and representing clients before immigration courts. Location:

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding immigration matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support client cases.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, particularly removal defense cases.
• Conduct consultations with clients to assess their legal needs and provide solutions.
• Review and analyze legal documents to ensure compliance with immigration law.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling immigration cases, particularly removal defense.
• Proven ability to litigate cases effectively before immigration courts.
• Strong legal research skills, with proficiency in Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage a high caseload and meet deadlines.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar association (NJ Bar preferred).

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research (Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw).
• Strong legal writing skills (motions, pleadings, briefs).
• Ability to represent clients effectively in immigration court.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with case management and client consultations.
• Knowledge of removal defense and other immigration legal matters.
