A law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The attorney will primarily handle cases related to first-party property insurance, personal injury, and premises liability lawsuits. The ideal candidate should have experience in insurance defense and/or plaintiff personal injury and first-party property cases.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a caseload of first-party property insurance claims, personal injury lawsuits, and premises liability cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal advice and counsel to clients.
  • Conduct discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure timely management of legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

 

Requirements:

Experience in insurance defense and/or plaintiff personal injury and first-party property cases.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Bar Admission in Florida is required.
