A law firm seeks an ambitious and driven Estate Planning & Business Law Associate to join its team in Miami, FL. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 0-3 years of experience to gain hands-on exposure to family estate planning, business succession planning, and general business law. The successful candidate will work alongside a collaborative team of experienced attorneys, assisting clients with entity formation, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and various business law matters. Duties

  • Assist with the preparation and drafting of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Provide legal support for business clients, including the formation of business entities, drafting operating and shareholder agreements, and offering general business counseling.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop comprehensive family estate plans and business succession strategies.
  • Review and analyze client documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on cases, and deliver clear legal guidance.
  • Conduct legal research on estate planning, business law, and related matters.
  • Attend client meetings and assist in the negotiation and drafting of legal documents.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of legal experience in estate planning, business law, or a related field.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Must be admitted to The Florida Bar or eligible to sit for the bar exam.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to The Florida Bar (or eligibility to sit for the Florida Bar exam).
