Duties:

  • Advise clients on estate planning, guardianships, trusts, and probate matters.
  • Guide individuals, families, and professionals through guardianship processes and trust administration.
  • Advocate for clients in disability and elder law cases, including benefit advocacy and related disputes.
  • Collaborate with trustees and other professionals to develop and implement legal strategies.
  • Manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining strong communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Prepare legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate filings.
  • Remain updated on changes in disability law, elder law, and estate planning regulations.
  • Provide excellent client service, ensuring a compassionate and professional experience throughout legal proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in Washington State (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney, with experience in estate planning, probate, guardianship, or trusts preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to think critically and remain effective under pressure while managing multiple cases.
  • Collaborative team player, with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State (required).

  • Expertise in estate planning, guardianships, trusts, and probate matters.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and legal time and document management software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
