Insurance Coverage Attorney

Duties:

• Analyze insurance policies to identify potential coverage issues
• Draft legal documents, including coverage opinions, reservations of rights, and disclaimers
• Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation and assist with related legal matters
• Provide strategic legal advice on complex insurance coverage issues
• Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure successful client outcomes

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in insurance coverage law (preferred but not required)
• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
• Member in good standing of the Illinois Bar
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Illinois State Bar membership (required)

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage law and litigation processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
