Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a qualified Associate Attorney to join its expanding real estate and creditors’ rights practice. Duties:

  • Manage and represent clients in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights matters.
  • Handle a high volume of litigation cases, including discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Participate in appellate cases, with a focus on TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and Bankruptcy Code issues.
  • Provide exceptional legal advice and representation, building relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Appear in court and handle related legal proceedings, including travel to required locations.
  • Take a leadership role in supporting firm growth and maintaining strong industry relationships.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar, with the ability to be licensed in the Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience is preferred, though applications from newly licensed attorneys will also be considered.
  • Familiarity with creditors’ rights, discovery practices, and conflict resolution.
  • Appellate experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts.
  • Proven leadership abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage a significant caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of client service.
  • Willingness to handle court appearances and some travel.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar memberships are a plus.
