Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and motivated Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of legal experience, with a focus on municipal infrastructure projects and public entity representation. This role involves both litigation and transactional work, offering opportunities to handle a variety of legal matters related to public procurement, contracting, and infrastructure assets. Strong research, communication, and writing skills are essential for success in this position. The firm offers a collaborative work environment with hybrid work flexibility.

Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive legal research utilizing platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Draft, revise, and review legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, regulations, and ordinances, primarily related to public infrastructure.
  • Analyze statutes, regulations, and case law to support legal actions or advisory services in municipal matters.
  • Monitor changes in municipal, state, and federal legislation affecting infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in preparing marketing materials and articles related to municipal infrastructure law.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff to provide creative and effective legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Bar in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and/or New York.
  • 3-5 years of experience in legal practice, with a focus on public sector or infrastructure law.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to receive and integrate feedback.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects under strict deadlines while maintaining high standards of legal work.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and/or New York.
