Duties

  • Court Filings and Documentation:

    • Draft and prepare a wide range of court filings, including motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
    • Review and ensure the accuracy of legal documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Case Management and Client Communication:

    • Manage a caseload of multiple clients, meeting deadlines and ensuring timely progression toward desired outcomes.
    • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.
    • Interact professionally and effectively with colleagues, experts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and judges.
  • Litigation and Advocacy:

    • Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court as needed.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies, share insights, and ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Collaboration and Professional Development:

    • Work closely with other attorneys and staff to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience drafting court filings and managing litigation tasks.
    • Ability to handle multiple clients and competing deadlines effectively.
    • Experience in communicating with various legal stakeholders, including clients, opposing counsel, and judges.
  • Skills:

    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong writing abilities, with a focus on clarity, persuasiveness, and legal accuracy.
    • Excellent legal research skills and proficiency with legal software and databases.
    • Ability to present legal arguments and complex concepts in a clear, articulate manner.
    • Highly organized with a capacity to prioritize tasks and manage a demanding workload.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, meeting deadlines consistently.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California or eligible for admission by reciprocity.
