A law firm seeks a skilled and passionate Associate Attorney to join their team in King of Prussia, PA. Duties

  • Provide legal representation to clients in civil, criminal, and family law cases.
  • Participate in weekly consultations with prospective clients and contribute to the sales cycle.
  • Work closely with the in-house financial team to forecast client billings.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, arraignments, and trials.
  • Collaborate with legal support teams, including paralegals and clerks, for efficient case management.
  • Mentor and guide junior associates and legal staff.
  • Participate in the firm’s Perfect Client Lifecycle development program.
  • Manage regular court schedules and maintain organized documentation for all case matters.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Virginia (additional licenses, especially federal or in other states, are a plus).
  • Proven experience litigating civil, criminal, or family law cases.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Strong proficiency in drafting legal documents such as motions, briefs, sentencing memoranda, and appeals.
  • Skilled in legal research, evidence analysis, and developing defense strategies.
  • Comfortable representing clients in a variety of legal proceedings, including trials and hearings.
  • Experience working with investigators, experts, and other professionals to build strong cases.
  • A commitment to ethical practice and advocating for clients' rights with integrity.
  • Knowledge of family law, including areas such as child custody, divorce, and domestic violence, is highly desired.
  • Experience with criminal law, including but not limited to assault, theft, and white-collar crimes, is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia (additional certifications or state bar memberships are a plus).
